Absaroka Mountain Thunder Clogging

Absaroka Mountain Thunder, under the direction of Tara and Cindy Bjornestad, is located in the Big Horn Basin area of Northwest Wyoming. Lessons are taught in Powell Wyoming.

Absaroka Mountain Thunder is an award winning clogging organization that promotes the preservation of traditional clogging and the growth of modern clogging in a family atmosphere. It is both the passion and goal of its directors to make every dancer a total package performer.

Absaroka Mountain Thunder competes and performs on an average of 30 times per year. Their show offers high energy, family filled entertainment for audiences of all ages. AMT Performance Teams have had the opportunity to perform all around the great states of Wyoming and Montana. They have enjoyed the distinct privilege of being regular featured performers at the Park County Fair/Powell WY., Independance Day Celebration/Cody WY.,Buffalo Bill Historical Center/Cody WY., Labor Day Festival/Red Lodge MT., and the National Kid's Fest in Silver Dollar City/Branson MO.

AMT's competition teams have traveled all around the United States to participate and compete in clogging events. Because of their accumulated success, they have been ranked on both state and national levels, and their award winning "AMT Elite Team" was recently recognized by the Billing's Gazette/Billings MT., as the most accomplished dance team in the state of Wyoming.

Absaroka Mountain Thunder specializes in clog dance instruction. Every effort is given to provide dancers with the skills and technique in the true form of this incredible Appalachian dance. Whether it is to perform in local events or travel throughout the United States, Absaroka Mountain Thunder encourages its dancers to be proud of their talent and to share it with others whenever the opportunity arises.
